I’m Lucía Iglesias Herrero, I’m 21 years old and I study Political Science at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. I am the winner representing Pablo de Olavide University in the category of artificial intelligence and global security with the project “Artificial intelligence fights against COVID-19 and future pandemics.” Since I began my studies at university, I have been able to attend the courses that my university offers on terrorism and the threat these groups represent. On the other hand, I have expanded my training with some courses at the International University of Andalusia on Defense and Strategic Studies (DSS), on terrorism and on organized crime. I have also had the opportunity to participate in some events on security and defense such as SECUDEF, deepening into the importance of defense culture in Spain. I am interested in the analysis and study of international security and in the future, I would like to dedicate myself to the fight against jihadist terrorism.
