Online Event

On Tuesday, March 15 at 16:45h, a high-level virtual event took place with the participation of Carlos del Toro, Secretary of the U.S. Navy. This event is part of the Defensa y Yo 2.0 program, a project organized by the U.S. Embassy in Spain and esglobal in collaboration with 16 Spanish universities, which seeks to disseminate the culture of defense and security among young people in the framework of the NATO summit in Madrid.

The debate was conducted in Spanish and English, and was moderated by Cristina Manzano, director of esglobal. After the meeting, the student participants had the opportunity to pose their questions and issues to the Secretary of the U.S. Navy.

This enriching meeting is part of the cycle of debates and contest #DefensayYo2, in which participants will be able to present their projects individually following the instructions and according to the contest rules, for a chance to win a trip to Brussels. We remind you that to be eligible for the prize, students must have participated in at least two of the debates of the cycle.
