Defensa y Yo 2.0
Participants of the second edition used their Brussels visit to explore U.S.-Spain security cooperation through the lens of the recently concluded 2022 Madrid NATO Summit. This immersive experience provided them with a unique platform to understand the results of the summit, enriched their understanding of international security dynamics, and fostered meaningful dialogue among participants.
Defensa y Yo 4.0
The participants in the fourth edition of the “Defensa y Yo” program, after being selected as winners of the competition phase at their respective universities, visited the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, NATO headquarters in Brussels and the Geilenkirchen Air Base in Germany. During the trip, the participants had the exclusive opportunity to meet with NATO diplomats and staff at NATO headquarters and to visit the AWACS base where they were able to learn about NATO operations, missions and how the most important decisions in the field of international security and defense are coordinated. It was a trip full of learning, inspiration and unforgettable moments. We are incredibly grateful for the energy and enthusiasm of our participants, who we are sure will represent a new generation committed to the future of international security!
